Mooters are having a conference for standardising moot formats all over India. A national level conference for discussing the administratives of mooting. Indian law school students are definitely doing a lot of things. Besides rooting for big law firm jobs.

I am downloading a couple of apps for my smartphone which promises to make my texting and contact management experiences much better.

I have fever.

One more of my childhood friends is soon getting married.

I realised that systems and processes, the very things that I eschewed not long ago, are things I swear by, now. The only reason I agree to doing without S&P is so that I know I'm able to take even the most unstructured of things and turn them around. It's a good feeling.

I shall now listen to music and test out the two "exciting" apps on my phone.

And then nestles her head against yours. And u lose track of which year it is.. **)

a brief look at what 2011 has given you: camera, two professional experiences as different as they can be, out and back in to the profession, reconnecting with many old and getting to know many new people (some of whom are nice :| ), two phones - one an android, and my christmas present. and having done my bit for some of my people.

a very fast moving year, almost as if it started the day before yesterday.

a very satisfying year.

here's looking forward to more adventures, adrenalin, beef steak and beer for the next 366 days.

The Dirty Picture: Movie Review

True I didn't have much by way of expectation on my way to catch the latest sensation that seemed to grab the nation's attention. Yes, this was the dirty picture.

But the movie was fantastic, actually faaantastic. Just like they said it on the reviews, a little girl doing what it takes to be a movie sensation, but a little girl nonetheless, doing what all little girls do, looking for a bit of tender love and care.

But only that vidya balan played it to perfection. Won't forget in a jiffy, the scene where she sees people by the horde throwing money at the screen running her item number with all those moves and facial expressions (my god, the facial expressions). And her face in the hall, cud just as well have been that of a school girl in wondrous glee.

Switching between self assured woman of the world, jealous bitch and hapless little girl.

Yes, like I said, it's nothing like going to watch tintin. But it's one of those movies that unlike tintin (which makes u feel content), sends the mind on a whirr, thinking of things related and unrelated to the film. Which is all, very good bang for the buck.

Definitely the kind of movie u'd wanna watch once, and then can't help thinking about things. But yes, the kind of movie u'd wanna watch only once.

Breaking News: West Bengal Air Force conquers the United States

The West Bengal Air Force today, conquered the United States of America.

Barkha Dutt was gushing about it on NDTV, while covering the Wash., DC carpet bombings from the White House. Already, panic has spread all over the United States, and the Krishi Jomi Raksha Committee were seen distributing pamphlets all over DC.

Obama has said: 'Orey Baba'.

Meanwhile, the news was met with much rejoicing in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal and the headquarters of the WBAF.

Alimuddin Street has issued a charter demanding that the name West Bengal should not be changed to Paschimbanga, since the 'West Bengal' Air Force had performed so well.

Sourav Ganguly, of course, was the captain of the mission. After landing his MIG on the White House helipad, he took off his t-shirt.

Upon his landing, many of his supporters back in Kolkata started singing the the old Tagore song, 'Megher pore MIG nemechhe' (the MIG has landed from behind the clouds).

So much so, that one of the older pilots, while flying in a formation that took them over Germany, has asserted with much conviction that he has indeed, seen Netaji out his plane window in Hanover. However, this sighting is unconfirmed.

While Bengal, and indeed, the rest of India still rejoices, one wonders at the predicament faced by the scholarly and academically oriented sons of the State: How will the conquest of the US by Bengal fare for their higher education plans?

Will now, going to Pennsylvania mean the same thing as going to Presidency College? And for the students of non-West Bengal Higher Secondary Board schools, will applying for a seat in Harvard or Cornell now mean going through the infamously myopic West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations?

These are some of the questions that will do the rounds for some time to come. As in all great events of our time, this one is also, not without its great share of questions, slick quotes, 'scholarly' muses and political ambitions. Only time will tell whether, by conquering the US, the West Bengal Air Force has become a force to reckon with, or will they still hold strikes and hartaals on account of the rising aviation fuel prices. These questions linger on.

In between, there’s an awful lot of exciting things happening.

You could be upto your elbows in thick piles of paper.
You could be lunching with a client for one of those slather-worthy deals.

Of course, you’re working your ass off, but you hardly notice because it’s such a frikkin bunch of fun.

They serve me fine.
If someone needs to find me, they can mail or call.
I have both connected to my phone.

I have numerous online identities.
Facebook, gmail, blogger, twitter, you name it.
But i have one username and that's my page address in all places.

I cant stand people with multiple phone numbers.
When in need, you cant figure out where to call.
When they call, unless you have all of them stored, you dont know who's calling.
Likewise with people with seventeen email addresses.

What's wrong with having one unified identity in all networks you use?
And why's it so bloody difficult for people to understand?
